Pros

I have to say it's a good place for entry level. They use a brand new ERP system and there is a lot of freedom for you to put your knowledge into practice. It's the best school I have ever taken. I have actually learned a lot and I highly recommend juniors who doesn't care the payment and really wants to improve their skills and strong in heart to come here. Specifically, I learned the latest web technologies about Magento, Html5, CSS3, and I implement Bootstrap, Backbone.js, Gulp.js, Node.js in real use. What's more, I have been exposed in NetSuite development which is a valuable experience. Those experince made me become a better me, what doesn't kill me makes me much stronger, thanks!

Cons

The business is going down tremendously through the previous two years. The reason is so complicated that I need several days to talk about it if needed. Although it's true that salary is low in this company, I still don't like to hear people complaining it since they are lack of experience and skills neither. Most colleagues there have poor knowledge and low efficiency but ironically highly confident. Almost 2-3 employees left every month. Now there are no more than 30 people when I left (There were more than 50 last year). Once someone left, they would hired a new one with fewer experience and low salary quickly. The managers show no respect and the staff show no competence. That's fair lol! Can you imagine that a manager said that I am not familiar with the ERP control after I successfully developed some ERP functions? Can you imagine that a manager asking the data specialist to teach me about excel after I built some tools written in VBA? Can you imagine managers trying to break the relationship among employees? Can you imagine all people shirking their responsibilities and blaming others? Can you imagine that some people pushing their religion and faith on you? All of that happened! At least I don't care their opinions on me, I just care whether I can be better than all of you in the future. Luckily I made it!

Pros

family oriented work environment and that's about it.

Cons

-Base salary same as state minimum -Wait at least half a year to get one month commission and the percentage is at 2% -After I join, I can count more than 80 people left -Sales managers have no clue what means respect and teamwork. -As sales, once the money involved, it's getting really dirty. I worked here for a few years that I know for sure that this business is going down, slowly and steady and for sure, it will collapse, simply because of thesereasons: 1. Never hire talent (because the owner is a primary school graduate thinks that if we do, they are taking over the company, just see how paranoid he is) 2. If a talent is a dreamer and they stays, the owner will start to bluff how good the company is and gives you absolutely no power on decision making and suggesting. Either the talent will realize how bad is it and leave immediately or they just stays for a while building their resume. 3. Owner in general cursing too much, he only speaks Chinese and loves to yell out who is S, M, U word out loud in front of other employees in Chinese. 4.Pays data, design, sales and warehouse workers state minimum, he made it clear the reason he moves to Commack is because of he can get rid of paid sick leave. 5.Stays in company for 9 hours a day (8 hrs work+ 1 hr lunch) 6.The company only have 5 days off per year, no bonus, no extra commission or salary if you do well or work overtime, as the owner said:" I payed you to do this, why should I pay you more?" Seriously, who will love to work under a man with such paranoid and aggressive attitude? It's like a legal sweatshop, every decision, every move need to report to owner first and then he will decide either we should do it. (at least they are generous on bathroom time) No free coffee, doughnuts, lunch or breakfast, if your customer shows up during your lunch time, good luck, cuz if you take lunch during the business hour, the time will be deducted from your salary. Everything is easy in business, except he really can't do what you do and the ones comes in does not have any training, just get on the job and ready to be accused "useless"
