Pros

Nice pay, nice place to work, nice people. very good benefits.

Cons

Stuck in administration ALL THE TIME. Can't get anything done without huge waste of time. HR is terrible, worst than most places, totally unprofessional.

Pros

Work with great people. Retirement plan match is excellent 8% on 1% contribution. Medical is affordable.

Cons

Raises are pretty much non-existent. 1% on average. 2% is considered a great year. Heard that this year will be 0.3%. Paid time off (PTO) is pathetic when you are new. First year you get 18 days, however the institute is closed the week of Christmas and they make you use your PTO days during that time which is 4-5 days. That leaves you with potentially 13 days for the year. This is all inclusive of vacation, sick and personal time. It's not nearly enough for anyone with a family. Human Resources is a joke. They are not responsive to the employees needs/suggestions. They take forever to post a job when someone leaves. They seem to be a pawn for the president.

Pros

Benefits when i started wages advancement Campus food at Rathskeller, Mores and Big Apple Pizza

Cons

President is treated as royalty. Staff are peasants who live in fear of angering her. Benefits continue to erode to "save money" University spends hundreds of millions on new state of the art facilities then lays off hundreds of employees Unhelpful Human Resources.
