Pros
The directors James and Paddy are involved in your day-to-day progression and training. In many companies, you would be lucky to meet the directors, but they are always going out of their way to sit and talk you through any scenario. This is a huge help when progressing as a consultant. Working in the tech industry combined with Reperio's high commission scheme ensures that you have large earning potential. The office itself is modern and has an upbeat feel to it. Great place to start if you're thinking of a carrier in recruitment or are already an experienced consultant.
Cons
Recruitment is a challenging profession and is often unpredictable, however, in my experience, James was always very accommodating to me to help in any way he could.

Pros
I've worked in other agencies before joining & Reperio offers one of the best training programs in my opinion. This is a great place for entry-level recruiters in particular, and I've seen many graduates and other trainee staff here absolutely smash it. The progression is great, there are people now at Management level who joined in 2020 and there are options to relocate, which not many other agencies can offer. The base salaries are competitive (they just increased for everyone again), the commission structure is realistic and again is one of the best structures I've seen, and the incentives are first class.
Cons
Recruitment in general can be really tough, it's a competitive industry and you need to be resilient, which is made clear to you at the interview stage. I know the interview process can be long (typically a 2 stage interview), but the turnaround from interview to offer is usually around a week or a bit more. Long hours (usually finish around 6pm), which is expected. Although it's challenging, you're looked after here, and the rewards/ incentives make it worth it.

Pros
Directors James and Patrick are great guys. They go out of their way to look after you - even more so if you look out for them. They'll push and support you to succeed, and easy to approach/chat to about anything. Huge opportunity to make ALOT of money there. If you can make a success of it, you'll do extremely well. I'm not sure you could earn as much in any other recruitment/sales job in Belfast. Good work life balance with nearly 2 weeks off at Christmas, annual leave, and Monday to Friday 9-5.30 (sometimes 6 or 7 which is your choice) - so evenings and weekends free. You also get non-deducted leave for other things like doctor appointments etc. Not long after joining Reperio, we got an all expenses paid trip to Amsterdam, and new joiners were even given spending money as they hadn't earned bonus yet, which I thought was a nice touch and really appreciated. On top of this, we had numerous paid for social events (Christmas dinner, beer bikes etc), and other rewards such as Champagne for your first deal, paid for lunch clubs, and other trips away etc. At the office, you get free coffee, fresh fruit, softdrinks, and beer (after 5), pizza fridays every month etc. It's also a great office, good location and up to date equipment etc. Great banter too!
Cons
Recruitment is tough, there is a lot of pressure to get results, which is stressful. However, the potential rewards more than make up for this. If you're confident, driven, money hungry and resilient, I think you could do extremely well here, better than anywhere else, but don't expect it to be easy - you'll have to deal with stress and work hard!

Pros
I started with Reperio as a trainee, with a lot of consultants talking about the opportunities you get within Reperio. A lot of these seemed a bit too good to be true, however in my time at the company, I was able to go on two company holidays and attend 3 'lunch clubs' in which I went to some of the best restaurants in Belfast. The financial rewards speak for themselves but there really is a huge opportunity to make a lot of money here. The team themselves are a great bunch of people who will give you the time and day when you need it. You receive some of the best training which you can take to other aspects of your life in the future. The work itself is tough and your progress will be recorded, however I found that to be the best way to see tangible progress, they put their employees first and will make sure that if something isn't going quite right, there is a pathway to get you on track! I highly recommend Reperio to anyone is looking for a job in Belfast or even the US!
Cons
Not necessarily a con but the work is tough, you get as much as you give, which may involve a few later nights, but it's all in your best interest.

Pros
-Some of the best commission schemes in Belfast. -Great incentives -Youthful environment
Cons
I felt during my time here the company's biggest Con was the company HR. They are responsible for the basic training of consultants alongside an external vendor ( who are ok). The HR consists of one person, whom to my knowledge doesn't have a single CIPD qualification or L&D qualification to their name and it deeply shows. It is too demanding of a role to not have sufficient in house training. There is so much to the role that an external vendor cannot teach. Another huge con, was that it is entirely market dependent on how well you do. There is very very limited flexibility to move market or move to the perm or contract team. You might strike lucky with a hot desk, but do your research and gain some market knowledge. You are not permitted to use your phone during work hours. This is a very strict environment. I am not joking, literally phones out at lunch and after 5:30. Very limited holidays & company benefits. Ask to read the contract in depth before you sign. Please read the fine line of the bonus & commission structure. Huge turnover rates, however that is agency recruitment. Sink or swim environment. Which in truth, I dont think is a bad thing. I swam, I did extremely well & put a huge huge amount of effort in with the time I spent. It is just not a sustainable environment. Hard to see career path growth. Its hugely money orientated. Not career orientated. Would be nice if people could really develop their careers beyond a team lead. Full time in office. No work from home.

Thank you for your feedback and commentary on your (short) time in Reperio as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. We appreciate your constructive feedback. It’s troubling to hear of your CONcerns around the structured training programme we have for all Trainee Recruitment Consultants who join us. It’s sad to hear that you failed to benefit from the structured in-house training programme, the 4 week Recruitment Masterclass run by our external trainer partners & the close mentoring from your team lead… 10 years in & we’re still learning we can improve! We hope this wasn’t the reason you lasted 1 day in your second Trainee Recruitment Consultant role with another firm in Belfast… if so, we take full responsibility that our training didn’t prepare you for this venture. We are pleasantly surprised at your disappointment in our benefits scheme, which it appears you felt was lacking (although, we’re quite sure you were on one of our all expenses paid trips to Amsterdam, weeks after you joined us). We’ve often wondered if the private healthcare package, life cover, company trips, beer fridge, free gym access, pizza Fridays & all the other office perks are a good enough selling point... at least now we know we’ve still got some work to do. We’re glad you feel our commission scheme is one of the best in Belfast – we would certainly agree! We’re sorry to hear you felt that your desk wasn’t as ‘hot’ as you’d like it to be, unfortunately, in recruitment, it’s about hard work, perseverance and sometimes fire-fighting. Ironically, your less experienced successor has that desk ‘on fire’ now, (it’s so hot we might need to get the fire service in here)… we might have to get them to take over the internal training too. “to my knowledge, HR… doesn’t have a single CIPD Qualification or L&D qualification” Our apologies, we were not aware this was a particular point of pain for you and something which added to the troubling time you had with us. Whilst our HR Manager is professionally qualified in HR, we will be sure to educate all future members of staff of this. We thank you for your comments, and will be sure to review all, particularly your views on our staff access to phones during the working hours, who “probably won’t even use them”…once again, it’s this insightful feedback we like to see. On a sunnier note, it’s lovely to hear that you did ‘extremely well’ despite all the limitations of our role, your short time with Reperio certainly left a lasting impression on us.

3 - 5.017 May 2021Recruitment ConsultantCurrent Employee, less than 1 yearBelfast, Northern Ireland
Pros
• You are given your own desk / individual market that you are given the opportunity to make your own. This gives you both a lot of responsibility and potential to be in control of your own earnings. • All your colleagues want you to succeed and will always offer advice when needed. There are team leaders in each team which makes it much easier as you’re being mentored and supported all the way. • You feel appreciated and respected for the effort you put into your work. The long term career growth and financial benefits are motivating.
Cons
• You need a thick skin to survive the daily football conversations!

Pros
Great training and support provided from day 1 tailored to your strengths and weaknesses. Great office environment, everyone is very close, always full of banter, very motivating atmosphere. We support each other on the bad days and celebrate each others successes on the good ones! We regularly socialise with after work pints and days/evenings out. Great leadership from the Directors, really helpful and approachable, open to new ideas. Theres little to none micromanagement, you’re encouraged to run your desk the way you want to and are given the freedom to do so. MASSIVE financial gains, if your open to criticism and take the advice of the more senior consultants and Directors you can very quickly be earning 3/4/5X what your peers do. Fantastic incentives with very reasonable targets from free suits to days out eating and drinking in the finest restaurant around to all expenses paid for luxury company holidays and more. Great commission structure, one the best ones I’ve saw about. Promotions and advancements based off performance rather than time served.
Cons
The hours are long and some days are really challenging but this is something thats synonymous with the recruitment industry and not something targeted at Reperio. Due to the fast financial and career gains and the longevity of it, recruitment roles attract a lot of attention and it really isn’t for everyone. If your not open to a bit of hard work and open to criticism for improvement purposes you won’t make it far in this industry. A lot of people who don’t make it find it easier to blame the company and colleagues rather than accept it just wasn’t for them.
