      Restrata doesn't let technical employees make technical decisions...

      The people I worked with were great, the product we wanted to build was great, the overall atmosphere was great...

      Cons

      Unfortunately, 3 months into my employment Restrata chose to make me redundant with one weeks notice. I was told that this was because they were advised not to proceed with native mobile development (possibly by an external consultant), but instead use cross-platform technologies. I was never formally consulted about this decision as the most senior mobile developer. I feel like Restrata could have been more up-front with the development team about how the business was being run. Overall I would advise anyone to avoid Restrata.

      Remote positions available, salary was ok

      Cons

      No roadmap, no direction, chaotic planning, top-down management all the way. Oversold timelines. You will be asked for commitments you are not confident in, due to lack of system to gain prognosis rather than a promise. Infinite calls, some days morning to evening. Lack of systemic processes is tried to be compensated with over presence on the calls.

      Terrible Senior Management

      Some good people within the organisation who are really trying their best to make it work.

      Cons

      The Senior Management do not care about staff. Appalling communication regarding redundancies and changes to the business structure. One example included amending work locations in contracts and reissuing to staff, hoping they would sign without reading the detail. Little or no opportunity for progression. Staff are overworked and under appreciated.
