Pros

Some really good people to work with. The environment was very professional. There were ample opportunities to learn new things.

Cons

RGP has a really hard time aligning employees' strengths to project needs. I spent most of my time as a body filling a gap and never got to fully utilize my strengths. Taking one for the team in project roles is more the rule than the exception, which takes it's toll over time. Other weaknesses are the 401K and transparency in certain things with the leadership. It wasn't uncommon for Directors and Sr. Managers to get completely blindsided by decisions made by top leadership.

Pros

Revgen has a great business model for their consultants. It is a high energy and fast paced environment. If you are somewhat of entrepeneur and driven you will appreciate being employed by Revgen. Revgen always ensures that their is a project for you to work on. Professional Development is stellar at Revgen as well, they ensure that if you are interesting in learning a new skill or getting a certification they support you 100%

Cons

Employees receive a total of 10 Days of PTO in total this includes sick days so if you get sick and you are down with the flu for 3 days, now you only have 7 days of PTO left for the years. In my opinion this seems more like something offered to a contractor not a full time company employee. Revgen also needs to consider maintaining best practices for their clients, in my time at Revgen I noticed that there were glaring inconsistencies when it came to introducing best practices to clients. It seemed to me that as a consulting firm it is the firms obligation to ensure that best practices are made available to the customer and if the customer decides to move in a different direction so be it. This further applies to project template and standardized documentation. Revgen is a smaller consulting firm with limited Travel budget or Travel Policy, I traveled on one occasion and I was told that I could not count a travel day toward my expense report because they did not want to charge the client for out of state travel. Never in all my years in a professional environment had I heard of such a thing. As I mentioned before Revgen will always have a project for you to work on however, you do not get much of a choice regarding the next project that you are assigned to which leaves you in the position where you may be working on a project that requires you to use less than 50% of your skillset

Thank you for the feedback. You’re correct that RevGen is a high energy and entrepreneurial environment. We appreciate your advice on company culture. As we grow, we will continue to improve our culture, deliver high quality and innovative solutions to our clients. RevGen makes an effort to receive employee feedback and suggestions through new hire lunches, employee surveys, meeting with project teams, company meetings and gatherings. Through these avenues, we found employees wanted to see Paid Time OFF (PTO) based on years of service and we implemented this change in 2015. To clarify PTO is prorated based on start date and your PTO reflected your date of hire. Thank you again and best of luck with your endeavors.

Pros

The consultants that work there are great! Staff is talented, and they get rave reviews from clients. Very thoughtful in what services and offerings will provide most value. Hybrid/ Remote work environment

Cons

Senior leadership each has the "RevGen" way of doing things, but no two ways are the same. Senior leadership provides feedback on everything. Every word in every email is scrutinized. When laid off, there was no exit interview, no desire for feedback or growth. There is an "inner circle" that is difficult to gain access into. No training.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We agree that we have great people who deliver real value to our clients. We also take your perspective on our weaknesses to heart and are committed to continuous improvement. One point of clarification on training – we provide all employees with training options specific to their needs via LinkedIn learning and/or external/internal courses, as well as required certifications for our technical skill sets.
