Pros

Nice staff and they try to do what they can with what little they have

Cons

This could maybe be a great place to work if the CEO would get out of his won way. He is a PhD not a CEO and it shows in everything, His poor decision around best business practices are insane. He is so unsure about himself and his ability to make a decision it's sad and once he does make one it's often a wrong one and causes so much stress in the company.

Pros

Interesting technology. Great product development project when I was there, as well as some great colleagues.

Cons

Horrible decision making by Management, time and again, despite every other employee's objections. The product development team was not given credit for their work on the uvisc instrument, as only ONE inventor is listed on the patent application, which was submitted AFTER the development process. Nepotism is in full effect here; a family member of Management was hired into a job they had no training in when they could not find work elsewhere out of college. Lot's of discrimination going on here as well; race, age, sex. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Pros

Terrific people for the most part. Small company that feels inviting. You end up learning about viscometry and the technology behind the product no matter what department you are in. The company has found their niche, so they are at least financially stable.

Cons

CEO is verbally abusive, incredibly unprofessional, and attempts to rule with fear. He is a brilliant engineer but a terrible manager, and he does not appear to understand this fundamental deficiency. The company forever appears to be trapped in a flat structure due to this. The pay is on the low end across the board.
