Pros

Can't think of much. If you are in an execs pocket, you'll succeed.

Cons

- highly political - Decision aren't fact based, they are political only - Leadership lacks any vision of the future - Leadership lacks any leadership skills worthy of a company of this size and success - No growth opportunity - No bonus - Average benefits - No work from home or any 21st century perks

Pros

- Well known company so it is recognizable on a resume when you recruit out

Cons

- Huge gaps in professional development. It is not encouraged or promoted and only 2K a year is offered for courses. Absolutely zero guidance or support from managers on furthering education - Regressive and outdated culture. Classic "boys club" in upper management and anti WFH culture. It is discouraged solely because the company owns/ rents office buildings despite the vast majority of employees not wanting to return to the office. - Remote work is NOT acceptable and looked down upon, Riocan is not innovative and the turnover rate displays this. Jobs stay posted on LinkedIn for months because candidates have options and will go to workplaces that are flexible and value their employees - Dealt with a highly problematic manager while working at this place, everyone knows this manager is a problem but nothing gets done about it. Micro management that bordered on harassment was my life for years at this company. - Lack of training and the culture is essentially "every person for themselves". No one wants to sign off on documents or take accountability for anything. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Pros

- Lots of young people who are driven and capable - Some managers are good to work with - Perfect place to get experience and fill your resume.

Cons

- Probably the highest turn over rate I've ever seen in any company. The company is top heavy, managers and above are compensated well but the employees below them are not. - They don't provide any perks other than stock dividends. - Pretty sad Christmas party. I understand it is a jewish company but c'mon just throw a party to give your employees something to look forward to! - It is difficult to move up even though its a big company. - location is pretty horrible. Atleast two shootings around the neighborhood every summer | - Relies heavily on paper. Management refuses to upgrade systems. - Alot of horrible managers (mostly from property accounting managers)
