Pros

- great customer service and staff discounts

Cons

- Leadership needs to realize that autocratic management style is the past not the future! - need to give genuine opportunity for employees to give feed back and take it into consideration .

Pros

The Staff Discount I wish i could say more, had i completed this when i was treated with respect i could have listed a lot more

Cons

Got to be in the Click to survive Management doesn't know how to Manage Blame Culture Expectation that staff work for minimal pay but go more than the extra mile, totally unappreciated by management any additional time spent working for free one rule for one, one for another No real care for mental health or ensuring employees are ok even though they "Believe strongly in this" No Management skills from the "Managers" (Did i say that twice?) I could go on but i wont.

Pros

- 50% staff discount from head office - 33% discount in store - Sometimes free goods for product testing

Cons

- Very snooty and narrow minded management and business model. Everything must be done exactly their way, no room for personal touches, no room for individual ideas, senior managers talk to store managers and employees like children. - All senior managers live in a bubble that makes them believe Rohan is the best thing since sliced bread and don't understand that not everyone sees the company's products in the same light. - Has a culture that states firmly that the senior managers are god and anyone who dares to disagree with them gets treated very condescendingly. - Overly harsh policy that means even the slightest offence or mistake warrents a formal, recorded conversation with your manager. This can include anything from leaving a price tag out of place to narrowly missing performance targets. It is excessively formal and creates a very unpleasant workplace environment. - No commission on sales. There is a bonus system based on store profits but I spoke to managers and staff who had worked for this company for 10 years and never recieved a bonus. Ambitious sales targets but no insentive to actually achieve them. - Very rigid sales guidelines- no room for tailoring to individual needs of customers, every customer must be treated exactly the same based on a very strict model of sales pitch with some 30 boxes to tick. If you are mystery shopped and score under 80% you get disciplinary action. It makes for a very uncomfortable experience for staff and customer. - Stores in very isolated locations. The branch I worked for had a footfall of under 20 customers a day for long periods. - Very poor communication. My duty of opening the store was unexplainedly taken away from me out of the blue and given to another employee. I only found out the reason from a fellow colleague and not from my manager. It seemed everybody knew the reason except me which is unacceptable in the workplace. - Mistreatment of staff. My 'assistant manager' was working with this title for over a year without being paid correctly for it. They kept assessing him, reassessing him and assessing him again without ever formally promoted him. He was constantly stressed which made for a very unpleasant relationship with other staff and managers. In my opinion the company's treatment of him was appalling and very unfair. In conclusion, my time with this company was very stressful, unpleasant and unrewarding. They need to make some serious improvements.
