Our duty managers and front office manager were amazing, worked so hard with the front desk and cleaning staff and went above and beyond to try and make a perfect experience for the guest and a great team environment. Cleaning staff were amazing, and sanitising protocols were fantastic

The software we used looked like it was from the eighties - I would never allow them to put my own card details into that, it wasn't secure at all, and in general it made all areas of work so hard to do because of how terrible the system is. We were also hamstrung by the GM being really disconnected and disinterested in understanding what the day-to-day running of the hotel was like. It made trying to put in systems to ensure quality really hard. Management also didn't want us to have any chairs anywhere behind the desk, even during covid lockdowns where you would literally be standing in one spot all day. It was painful.

Worst management ever. Work n life balance is nonexistent. Egos are very high among the managers in kitchen n front of house with no motivation of doing better in life or to keep the work environment happy for existing staff members. Constant lack of respect towards junior staff. No direction. Highly illegal activities go on behind our back. One of them is obviously altering time sheets without the knowledge or consent of the person of interest. Inedible staff meals that forces staff to buy their own food and higher position chefs and manager will get to eat whatever they want as most of the staff would go home hungry.
