Pros

Worked here for 3 months before I quit. 30% Discount that's about it

Cons

Constant heavy lifting, poor management skills, shockingly boring and management really frown upon having a laugh. Management provided 0 motivation to employees. The stock room was also a joke and management made you carry round a useless tablet that was little to no use. Stock file was widely incorrect so if I a customer asked for something we'd have no idea if it was in stock or not. While the Cambridge store was constantly busy it was a complete mess basically non of the management really cared about the store. Also my manager and supervisor would just sit in the office all day on their phones. As I was transferred from another store I was trained quite well I previously didn't find the job too bad however when transferred to the Cambridge store the other employees which were sales assistants barely knew what they were doing

Pros

Good breaks, good staff discounts at London Graphic Centre and Robert Dyas. Lovely colleagues.

Cons

The management was the worst thing ever. It was unbelievably stressful, you always had to do something even when the shop was completely empty and the managers kept checking every single thing on the security cameras and call you at the till phones to tell you off. If the shop wasn't busy, you had to clean everything even though you had already cleaned everything the same morning. The management treating you like an idiot in front of customers and expecting you to do everything right even when you haven't been in the shop for long. The management made me feel so unhappy and stressed out that I had to quit the job. Again, the management started monitoring every single sale of every single person, making it a stressful competition on different items every day. They only care about making money and nothing else. The pay is too low for what the job requires.
