Pros

there is nothing good about this place... not even their iced coffee

Cons

The management in this place is the worst you can experience. They sell themselves as a "company that understands design", te truth of the matter is that they have no clue about design. It is managed in a really old fashion way where your bosses are in their nice offices and the employees are in floating cubicles. The CEO of this company is completely self-centered, there is no room to grow and they treat you like garbage.

Pros

The best part of Sandow is not Sandow. It is the companies that Sandow acquired. Many good people are sucked in by the uniquely creative companies and publications that Sandow purchased. Of course there are great people who work there, but they too will move on when they learn there is no room to grow or their voice is not being heard.

Cons

Sandow is not about the company; it is about Adam Sandow and putting money in his bank account, not back into the companies. Money is wasted on material objects (matching computers, matching chairs, matching desk lamps - all in canary yellow - Adam Sandow's favorite color), instead of investing in the people, programs and business tools. There is inconsistency across all the brands and between the two offices (FL & NYC). There is a high turn over and a lot of lay offs in both Florida and NY. Previous reviews keep talking about growing pains in the merging of all the companies, but that excuse that we are growing and it takes time has been going on for many years. It appears Sandow has bought up some great companies and is slowly slowly cleaning house (waiting for older employees to be pushed out) to bring in younger individuals that they can pay very low salaries to, but even those individuals are wise'n up. New upper level positions are likely to be people who worked with Sandow in his past or friends of friends. There is not an equal opportunity to all. The new job positions are not even visible to current employees. The attempt at making an office culture is a failed attempt at being cool. It is like trying to be like Google or Facebook 15 years too late. There is no office culture.
