Pros

I truly struggle to think of pros

Cons

1. The CEO is totally paranoid and views everyone and everything under a microscope. He sends shockwaves of stress throughout the entire organization 2. Benefits are really quite bad...especially for seasoned professionals 3. Posts tons of FAKE reviews...pretty sure this company would have 1.5 rating without all the fake reviews 4. GASLIGHTING...notice some of the reviews that say that "people who post negative reviews don't have a growth mindset?" That's clearly some sort of executive who wants to think that any problems this company has is it's individuals as opposed to its (terrible) culture 5. No focus on the employee experience (at corporate) at all. If you're a manager, when was the last time you said "Honestly, I know it's been hard but I really appreciate you stepping up"? When we the last time you onboarded someone with empathy and understanding of the type of organization this is? When was the last time you talked to someone about their personal life? 6. Everyone is SO NEGATIVE. I don't blame them, really I don't. The fault lies on the CEO and his executive team...they suck...they really do. 7. I've heard some great ideas from some other people at the company...those ideas get shot down because it's not 100% what the CEO thinks 8. No town halls, state of the unions, or really any other formal communication...everything is about 4insite, which really isn't a great tool for corporate folks (it might be okay for frontline) 9. Can you people stop wanting things after hours? 10. Frankly, I don't think people want to work that hard if their hard work goes to helping a major jerk (CEO) get richer. We will support you if you support us, but beyond that just expect people not not invest their full energy

Pros

Hmmmm, other than getting paid I can't think of anything positive. Oh wait, clean bathrooms. As often as not, the folks in pay even screwed up my pay. I personally know that either mine or someone I work with have had their pay screwed up every time we get paid. Maybe the long list of times we're sued which is quite a bit. Some of the managers are fairly nice and decent people.

Cons

I can't figure out who the leader of this screwed up company is. The so called CEO struts around like a little rooster and screams his head off. It seems like all the so called sr. managers are nothing more than talking heads. I absolutely see no direction. We have so many ways to do the same thing and it depends on the whim of the sr. managers. We don't do things in the customer or our best interest. Our direction changes every time the wind does.

Pros

Remote working structure provides full autonomy in daily life obligations while balancing work duties. Decent pay.

Cons

Senior executive leadership is beyond abysmal (i.e., CEO, CSO, SVP-CBRE). Entire organization modus operandi is FEAR of CEO (Charles Somers). CEO is too involved w/ day to day duties which directly correlates to the lack of trust in direct executive staff. Complete lack of career security. Zero alignment on corporate strategic direction per vertical. Boiler room mentality/approach to growth. Stifled collaboration/innovation. Short-sided confusing business model. Senior leadership highly unprofessional and lacks morale compass. Company performance finances are not shared w/ staff even at exec. level. One has zero visibility whether company doing well or performing sub-optimal. Corporate meeting cadence cancelled on a weekly basis. If you are reading this review and you are just starting out your career then SBM Management is an “ok” stepping stone. This company is not for folks who have Fortune 100 company experience of 2-3+ years. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID else, you’ve been properly warned.
