Pros

Casual dress and a really nice view of the Delaware.

Cons

Leadership backstabs each other and treats the rest of us even worse. They talk about us like they are better than everyone else. You should be careful before you trust what you are told, including during the interview and offer stages. They tell us they are growing and profitable but we are losing clients and employees left and right. They stopped the 401K and exited Mexico. Do the math. I can't understand why the Board hasn't replaced leadership. The problem starts at the top and permeates to nearly every VP in this toxic environment. There is no way the board doesn't know this.

Pros

Hard working dedicated employees. Health insurance and dental is above average. Room for advancement because of revolving door mentality. Innovation center.

Cons

HR is a complete disaster. Upper management has a gossip mentality. SDI is a revolving door of employees with minimal experience. I would love to know the turnover rate. I am guessing an excess of 40% turnover. Buyers are untrained and continually purchase from incumbent suppliers. Customers are in no way realizing the savings they were promised or guaranteed with this approach. SDI was brought in site to provide cost savings and a service. While SDI does offer some very innovative services customers want hard savings, not soft inflated savings.. I also am looking for another company where I am valued.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Your honest feedback helps us learn and improve. I’m sorry your experience with HR hasn’t been ideal. Just to be clear, the HR team is never in a position to determine anyone’s destiny at SDI. They simply act as a resource to help the functional leaders with their talent needs. Sometimes, people aren’t a good fit. That happens. And in an entrepreneurial environment like ours, it becomes apparent very quickly if we aren’t a good fit for each other. But thanks to the way HR teams up with the functional leaders, we’ve become much better at recruiting the right people and retaining them. Our retention rate has improved year over year. And we are continuing to improve our recruiting efforts along with training and career development, to help our teammates succeed. I welcome you to sit down and talk with me about your concerns. All too often people wait until they leave to give feedback. But it is better for us to address your concerns while you’re here, because we want you to be successful. Thank you. ~ Chris Moore
