    Negative Outlook

I have been working at SEA LIFE full-time for less than a year

    Pros

There are some good work friends that help get you through the day. Get a Merlin pass that allows you to go to other Merlin attractions

    Cons

They will literally get you to do about 3 peoples jobs. A lot of the time if someone leaves they won't employ someone to take over they well just share out the responsibilities to other employees. Everything is just focused on Money and making cuts and making money with no thought about what it has on the employees.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at SEA LIFE for less than a year

    Pros

    working in the gift shop

    Cons

unorganised management, no communication, no respect, misinfromed, ungrateful, rude, no care for employee health or fatigue, unwelcoming, late pay, no training

    Advice to Management

Your management team is extremely disorganised and need make sure all employees feel welcomed and understand everything about the job. No training was given and new employees had to figure it out on their own. Their is a lot of misinformation coming from a lot of employees, one person says one thing and others inform you of other things. You claim to have a strict policy for both employees and customers but it seems... that management is biased in favour of the people who are permanent at the job. In regards to policy for customers, management become lenient when policy is supposed to be followed making the employer look stupid in front of the customer. Also prior to actually working the company had basted about employee benefits non of which had been given to us. On the last day of employment no one was informed of anything and no thanks or formal dismissal was given to seasonal employees. Extremely unprofessional. Please in the nicest way possible FIX UP! thank you.

I worked at SEA LIFE part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The entertainments team is very interesting and you learn a lot about the animals through giving talks and training you receive with information from the company. The ethos of the company is very conservation focused which I felt was a positive environment to work in with people who care about the animals.

    Cons

Minor con, but its a very fast paced environment so the turn around of activities can be every 15 minutes which can be intense for some, but also keeps the day busy and interesting

    Negative Outlook

I worked at SEA LIFE part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You get to be in the air conditioning surrounded by sea creatures. I had a few awesome coworkers who have become some of my best friends.

    Cons

Upper management has NO IDEA about running a zoological facility. Your ideas/input are meaningless to them even though they regularly have special meetings with a person from every department and ask for your input/suggestions/ideas. Educators (aka Guest Experience) are treated like absolute garbage - most management and aquarist staff treat you like you’re a total moron. You won’t get moved up, no matter how... deserving you are, unless you’re a major brown noser, and the ones that do get moved up are typically incompetent.

Listen to your employees who actually know what they’re talking about.
