Started strong but on a downward spiral.

Pros

Fantastic academic colleagues, location is suitable for someobe who hates traffic, flexible hours for academicians, pretty much left alone to do work.

Cons

Micro management by the CEO due to profit centric policies. No emphasis on making the SEGian community feel better about working or studying here. Staff turnover / talent loss is not a priority because quality is secondary to owners. All decisions are financially driven. Top management need to hire smart and motivated individuals, not best friends and family members. The No. 1.5 position in the company changes every year because CEO can't play nice with anybody. No stability = no growth.

Pros

Leaving this worthless organization after 7 long years is the best "pros" in the world. It's like a heavy burden on your shoulder, heavy rock in your heart, that has been weighing you down for years have finally been lifted off of you. I realized you can't grow until you leave the company. Only regret, should have left earlier. What A waste of talent, waste of skill, waste of life working here.

Cons

7 years I was with SEGi and I have to say: - staff turnover is very high. - facilities still so bad. - parking is the worst. - lifts breakdown 2-3 times a month. - top management only care for money. - lecturers under qualified or unqualified to teach; e.g. fresh graduate SEGi student still awaiting final year result, teaching diploma and/or degree students. - No recognition or appreciation for staff contributions, only care for top sales staffs, the rest are considered as dirt. - whatever recommendation/idea the top management ask, you give them, they let it go in one ear and come out the other ear and said your idea sucks, but then later use it and said it is their idea. So low class. - fees every month/year increase, but facilities still the same since 2007. - staffs don't work together for the greater good. All work for themselves and selfish to the point that stealing others sales is the way to go.

Pros

Very exciting work environment and you never know when you will get stabbed from the back.

Cons

- Great chance to meet new people. Staff turnover is very high. -They go for endless meetings with zero outcomes. Processes and meetings are not translated into numbers and quality. - Staff will be asked to give fresh ideas only to be told that all those ideas are worthless and that the top management ideas are better and must be carried out immediately, no questions asked or else.... Then a few moments later your initial ideas have been re-branded and it becomes "their idea". Cetak rompak number 1. Then they change their direction before ideas can be properly carried out. Very short term views. - facilities is very bad. - takes in a lot of unqualified students that do not meet the minimum educational requirements... as long as they can pay, can get degrees. - parking is the worst. - lifts breakdown almost every month. - Disregard for Occupational and Safety Health. Move staff and conduct classes for students in building that is still under renovation. - top management only care for money. - Favourite staffs are those who are willing to create magic files for MQA and also those who have side projects with students to create fake good review for the college online. -top management and hr will throw you under the bus, if it will save their own skin - No recognition or appreciation for staff, turnover is very high.
