SIEC India Response

Rather in Chandigarh branch in particular we have had an experimentation in terms of our HR policy and recruitment, wherein we crossed the organisational conventional model. As an organisation we experienced deceit, hatred by some co-workers towards other co-workers. This was a new to our organisation which had always flourished on camaraderie and courtesy towards colleagues. So we had to take some hard calls. It was a painful process but in the process we did our best to follow the best of HR practices of: counselling, coaching, reconciliation, warnings. We are happy that we have left that behind us and have come out of the phase unscathed. We feel the influx of some energies goes wrong but there is no pre-warning during the process of selection that can help you analyse the selection and the baggage they are possibly bringing on board. it is easier to comment on these portals than to see rationale or go through self reflection. Since we have deployed far more in the process screening to understand and see through the personalities. We won't be repeating some mistakes. Good to luck!!!

Pros

No pros as such I fell

Cons

1. Extended working hours and even make you work on Sunday's, according to them if you stay back after working hours, you are showing dedication towards your work and the organization. I mean, a person cannot prove that within working hours right? 2. Politics - listen to their unnecessary tantrums and illogical stuff and they can promote you from a trainer to an assistant branch manager - A Big LOL 3. They won't ask the person who reacted in a different way or did some mistake as to why they did so, but would ask a second person about that, so lack of trust between manager and employee 4. Work load and unrealistic targets - unnecessary work load on a single person - they expect a single person to do calling, arrange a demo, convert that student (enrollment/applicatio ), take feedback, meet revenue target, for them a person is a robot. 5. No appreciation - Keep giving them work, keep meeting target, stay loyal with them for years and what they give you in the end is - a kick out from the organization. 6. Delay in salaries - if you don't call on the numbers which are allotted to you on your software - even if they don't fall under your curriculum - they hold your salary. 7th and the MOST IMPORTANT OR RATHER SAY MOST DISGUSTING ONE- NO JOB SECURITY - you give them years of loyalty and dedication and they cannot even offer you job security - they would prefer people who have just been 6months or maybe 1 year old( maybe because they are in relation with senior management or so called "favorites" of senior management) in the organization over people have have given bloody 3 years to the company. The biggest example here is - some of the staff was given leave without pay during covid - these innocent people were told that they would be called back once situation gets normal but nothing of that sort happened. These innocent people trusted the company and sat back for 6-7 months hoping they would be called back, but who knew company was already hiring new employee on their place. The ex employees didn't even demanded some salary during pandemic, we're just hoping for job security, but the company could not even offer them this simple thing. But let me tell you one thing, a talented person never stays free - they got a job better than what you offered.
