Pros
There is a good work-life balance
Cons
Any evolution looks nearly impossible without the right diploma (X, administration), inertia
Advice to Management
Insert managers in the middle & top management whatever the dipoma they have to add reactivity and pragmatism, to add humility (versus to much arrogance) and open-mindeness

Pros
Your life will be really stable if it's what you want. The employees are all passionate about trains, the ambiance is quite special.
Cons
As a typical French company, SNCF follow the typical routine of promotion. You gonna need a proper diploma to get promoted. And the stable rhythm is not quite suitable for the youth.
