Pros

Flexible hours for the most part. Close to home. Free beverages and some snacks. 401k company matching up to a percentage.

Cons

Low pay, minimal paid holidays, we don't even get 12/24 as a holiday. Management is good at making promises, but doesn't follow thru. Boys club. If you're a woman, don't expect much as far as advancement.

Pros

Pay, commission structure, benefits, competitive.

Cons

Toxic culture. They pride themselves on their “great culture” but its all a facade. They claim to be “fully transparent” with numbers and their intentions, but it is exactly the opposite. There seems to be an ever-changing target which makes it hard to hit goals. Management says one thing to your face, and a completely different thing behind your back. They pretend to care about employees, but I have literally heard a manager say if he could replace all the sales people, he would. Instead of trying to grow people they expect you to figure it out on your own or get out. This company is SO interested in their stock price (employees can own stock, and some make very good money from the stock going up) that they will run anyone over to help their bottom line or their P&L. One minute they will tell you you’re a valuable team member, the next you’re expendable because P&L says so. Lots of work place gossip and major favoritism. They will take accounts from you (which effects your pay) and give to the “favorites” with a totally made up reason why, then tell you they will make it right, but never do. There are good people who work here, but everyone seems to be out for themselves. Was once a great company but they’re trying to grow too fast too soon because of the stock price, they are destroying the culture and losing valuable employees.

Not the Place it Used to be

Pros

This used to be an entirely different place to work with a different culture that I was proud of and inspire to come to work for daily. A couple years/months ago, I may have recommended SRS as a place to work. SRS has changed so much within the past several months, it is unrecognizable.

Cons

-Extreme Burnout -Very Top Heavy Organization -Little to no Diversity -Good Old Boys Culture -Put Profit & Growth over People -The HR department specifically is the most overworked, dysfunctional, & hostile place to work within the Company -Corporate is not staffed to support the field -Complete disconnect between leadership/corporate office and field operations -No Work/Life Balance -Poor Benefits Packages

SRS Distribution Response

We are disappointed to hear about your experience because we are pretty proud of the culture at SRS and strive to continuously improve the employee experience for all. We agree that the pressure has been on as as we were not anticipating growing 2 billion within the past year. Even for us, that’s a record! Luckily, we are also adding a lot of new jobs to handle all that new business, which creates more career path opportunities for all. If you’re an active employee with us, please feel free to leverage any of our channels of feedback: HR Hotline, engagement survey, talking with your HRBP or leadership about your concerns so we can ensure your ideas for improving our culture are heard and we can continue growing together.
