Pros
Facts: This is a small firm of roughly 20 people. I wasn't even there a year, and I was the 9th termination and/or quit. One person even left twice not even being there a year the 2nd time. The data I saw going back to 2018 showed 75 users deleted, meaning they have roughly a 100% turnover rate each year. But a particular chatty owner will blow sunshine about how it would be a travesty if anyone wanted to leave, and will do anything to keep people motivated / happy. Only one person has been there 5 years, two others have been there 4 years (not the owners) - the rest are all under a year.
There was a 3rd partner who had been there as long as the owners when I started and they decided to leave under a false pretense - telling everyone it was for "reasons" but it turns out they left to go work some where else. You don't really leave that kind of position unless it's so messed up it's hopeless (they downgraded their title/position at their new place).
If you already have 3+ years of career experience, this place is NOT for you, and you would be well advised to listen to the other comments here to avoid it under all scenarios except the following:
1) This is your first real job and you need the experience - keep fielding new offers after 3-6 months, and leave at your first chance.
2) You're desperate for a paycheck, and have no other options.
3) You enjoy nepotism because the "top 3" (not owners) are committed to only hiring their closest personal friends regardless of that person's relevancy or experience.
The only actual "pro" I would say is they paid you on time, the majority of coworkers in the trenches like you were incredibly friendly, understood work/life balance fairly well and were not big expletives for demanding clock watching, running an occasional life errand, or emailing / texting off hours except for very rarely - and if it was - it was to reprimand you about said clients.
Cons
The other comments of they allow clients to walk all over them is 100% correct. You will be reprimanded for not being cheerful to a grossly over budget account where they complain you won't listen to them debate for more than an hour to change an article from The to An - and the merits of each (this is not an exaggeration). You will also be scolded for giving said clients too much billable attention because it's already grossly over budget.
The current two below the owners are on a mission to hire only their personal friends, and burn the rest at any chance they get to avoid looking like the most unqualified person in the room.
Should you choose to accept this mission, be prepared to sit through many awkward meetings where clients try to figure out why their favorite person is no longer working for company without warning.
Consider yourself warned.
