      Unlike Ronseal, they don't do what they say on the tin

      Pros

      I had some great colleagues, from all parts of the business.

      Cons

      They do not practice what they preach. They claim that they are all about culture and the people, but the second that something doesn't go how they want it to go, everything changes. Changes are made for the sake of changing. Ideas are implemented and then before they can see if it works, they change it again. It makes it incredibly hard to keep up with current processes or targets. Inequality is coursing through the veins of the company. The benefits are quite often different depending on who you are. You are told that it's 2 days working from home but turns out that is a complete lie. Some people are 3 or 4 days at home while some are begrudgingly given 1 day. This isn't comparing people from different parts of the business. It's comparing people on the same team. Some people have to complete a 6-month probation to get the benefits, while some get them immediately! Horrendous culture Employees have been treated horrifically by other members of staff, they have been bullied, harassed and embarrassed in front of colleagues. Worst of all, this is from HR and management! It's all for show. They will talk about, and advertise that they do lots of things for the employees, which they do. However, this is all for show. They do not do anything out of the kindness of their heart. They view everything as a marketing opportunity and a way to show off how much money they have.

      Top biller,Not appreciated.Be wary of Propaganda

      Pros

      Ignore the ministry of information enforced by the business hierarchy regularly. Instead consult those who have left across 2022 and 2023. The work life balance was great as people flooded out daily ad though a fire alert had been lit rather than be there,

      Cons

      I worked for this business for several years as an acclaimed top biller. I saw multiple occasions where HR and then management were told to ‘influence’ Glassdoor reviews’ particularly after a batch of bad ones. (You’ll Notice this trend is very much continuing) I chose to leave after a toxic MBO (in my opinion) which saw the wrong person ‘leading’ the business. I chose to reduce my money rather than give up my personal values, despite my personal performance being market leading, I saw many who played a huge role in the success of the business hounded out and harassed (as I saw it). I saw former top billers like myself hit with multiple legal letters to scare and threaten them. I saw several long term leaders leave. None of which had a good opinion about the company. When a business has to ensure their legal presence is their way of ‘engaging’ current employees and keeping former employees quiet of their honest views be worried. (In my opinion). A hateful, Spiteful little Organisation. (In my opinion)

      Some serious axes to grind

      Pros

      I worked at STR for a number of years and have followed the recent spate of reviews with some interest. I have found the negative reviews "interesting" if I am being honest I'm amazed that people can feel so strongly about a business that they have moved on from. I worked for STR for a number of years and yes whilst the business isn't perfect I always found it to be a good place to work. What I always enjoyed with working with my team and the culture we had within our brand. It isnt for everyone (clearly) and ultimately I decided to move on to a new opportunity. Not because I hated the business or I was treated unfairly but a new opportunity arose and I decided to make the move. It does make you think that the people who have left have such an axe to grind because they have realized they actually left a good employer? Maybe or maybe not. Anyway I always felt looked after by STR.

      Cons

      The business evolved and there were a lot of changes, communication could of been better. Sometimes collaboration between brand could of also been better.
