      Pros

      -(most) people are friendly -easy to gain CA experience -opportunity to work independently at junior and associate levels -(NYC) great IT support -good benefits

      Cons

      -lack of project diversity / template design process, corporate -lack of staff diversity -lack of program fluidity -lack of project standards leaves lower and middle level staff having to adjust to each PM/project’s standards, which can be arbitrary and/or outdated -complacency among many of the APs -unsystematic staffing -high turnover

      Pros

      Energetic office with supportive company culture led by skilled and knowledgeable senior staff/management. There are plenty of opportunities to grow and gain valuable experience in various roles within the field.

      Cons

      - Often pressured to work overtime which leads to a poor work life balance. - Top heavy organizational structure, junior staff is overwhelmingly in the minority. - Pretends to be relaxed and open minded but company is very corporate. - Operates with a lot of favoritism between upper management and project teams. - Lack of transparency when it comes to salary raises and promotions.

      A large corporate firm that desperately doesn’t want you to notice that

      Pros

      If you happen to work for the right principal and they notice you and you already have the skills they want then it is a good place to grow in. If you are eager to learn and don’t mind sacrificing your life for your career early on it is a good place to grow. If you like interior work it is a good place to grow.

      Cons

      They are disorganized and more corporate and hierarchical then they want to admit. The pay isn’t great. And they really don’t care about you unless you happen to catch a principal’s eye by luck.
