1. 10 hour workdays (!!)
2. No holidays for Diwali, eid, new year, Christmas etc
3. If you're sick and you have no leaves left, then God help you. You're literally NOT allowed to be sick. By sick I mean if you have a mental breakdown or are in the hospital - you're asked to work, or guilted into working. If you refuse, they ask you to resign and rejoin. This means that you start over. For example, if you've completed 9 months in the company and are due for appraisal in the next 3 months, you start over and are no longer eligible.
How do I know this? I was asked to postpone an emergency surgery so I could do it on the weekend. Post the surgery, I was working 2 days later when sitting up would hurt, too.
4. HR does nothing. The policies are a joke.
5. Toxic office politics - you don't want to get involved
6. I've witnessed employees being yelled at publicly. Senior and junior.
7. Constant vigilance. One toe out of line (which may be taking a break 10 minutes longer than is 'acceptable'), and you're reprimanded and matters will be 'escalated'
Just, value your mental health and don't join this company.
