Pros

Selling Energy is a rapidly-growing, family-owned company that values each staff member as its own, encourages professional development, and enables us to pursue projects we enjoy working on. Every day is a new challenge and if you're the self-starting, positive-minded, results-driven, team-oriented person, you would find yourself incredibly happy to be a part of this team. Working with Mark in particular is an amazing experience. He's always approachable, even while he's traveling the world doing speaking engagements, he sets aside time to answer questions and shows his staff that he truly cares about each of us. It's also incredibly gratifying to be part of a company that's changing the lives every professional we train. Nearly every day we receive feedback from our students and graduates on how our service inspires and motivates them; they share stories on how our training improves their professional growth, and continues to help them elevate their business to a new level of success. These stories inspire us as staff members! We wake up every day knowing we're making a difference in someone's life! Could not ask for a better job.

Cons

Once in a while, working long hours can be tiring but management really does a great job at showing appreciation of all the hard work and hours we put in.

Pros

I worked at Selling Energy for about 3 years. It's a fast-paced work environment and management expects employees to be dedicated, flexible, and self-driven. As a relatively new and small company, I was required to wear many hats. For me, that was the biggest benefit of the job - no two days were the same, I got to tackle a wide variety of projects, and I gained insight into how a business can grow exponentially from the ground up. This company nurtured my entrepreneurial spirit, gave me the flexibility to take on projects that interested me, and supported my decision to pursue my own entrepreneurial ventures when the time came for me to make my next career move.

Cons

If you want coworkers, you need to be located in SF. I moved to LA shortly after I started, so I worked remotely (as did about half of the employees). We utilized GoToMeeting on a daily basis, but if you need people physically around you, then you'll want to work out of the SF office.

Pros

My experience at Selling Energy has been amazing this past year. I recently transitioned to this side of the business as before, I was with the sister company, SF Green Space. The transition went smoothly thanks to my managers and colleagues. What I really appreciated was the opportunity to travel to sunny San Diego for the day to see Mark live in action! This really gave me insight as to who we are and what we do to drive other people’s success and in turn drive our own success as a family owned business. My favorite part about Selling Energy is receiving “Sales Success Stories” from past attendees who have taken Mark’s in person trainings or online trainings. Most whom, have started practicing his teachings and not long after have become the #1 energy sales professionals of their company, region, or have been honored with prestigious awards for their sales accomplishments. What stems more from this is our environment and therefore creating an energy efficient habitat, which the world can benefit from.

Cons

Most of the staff works remotely, but they are only a phone call away.
