Talented team of engineers, scientists, hackers, sales, and marketing producing some great software solutions to make applications and cloud more secure. Management team that strives to find true solutions to real-world problems.

Cons

Perhaps, become a bit more solution oriented and broaden the scope of the problems being approached. Motivate and reward people based on the solutions in addition to features and delivery.

- Flexibility and independence -- no one is going to tell you how to do your work, because others expect that you know what you're doing and that you'll make the appropriate decisions - Smart, friendly coworkers who are willing to help; I've learned a lot from my coworkers since joining - Good pay and benefits

Cons

ShiftLeft is a company for the right person; if you're not one who thrives in an environment where no one is watching you closely and can make decisions when there's some degree of uncertainty, I think you'll struggle a bit. Similarly, if you need things to be extremely well-defined, the start-up nature of ShiftLeft probably wouldn't work for you.
