      A promising future and concept ruined by the owner.

      Pros

      Working in the field of a hobby sounds like a fun way to work hard and earn a living without realizing you're doing it. Helping customers is the best part of this job. I would mention the discount... but...

      Cons

      The owner was described by another employee as a narcissistic millionaire with a Napoleon complex. That fits the bill. He rants, raves and yells at employees and the manager, she does it in front of customers. It's cheaper for me to buy my ammo at the other gunshop in town (not known for low prices) than to buy it here as an employee. Sad.

      You get free range time and discounts on firearm purchases, if you qualify

      May not have enough space for this. We use to had a good manager then they sent him to a different store and brought in a manager from the west Cinti. store. Corporate has no idea what is going on and continually comes up with bizarre ways of doing things, such as the new pay system. No communication with staff, the people doing the work. Current store manager does not have the proper people skills to manage to deal with a diverse staff, other than being a bully and using intimidation. The company has lost sight of the reason Point Blank came to be, the CUSTOMER. Now it's all about the all mighty dollar. In other words GREED. Screw the customer and the staff anyway you can. The goals they set are unrealistic and set artificially high so only those chosen can win.
