Pros

Shorr was a great company to work for in regards to support, customer service and product offerings. They go to great lengths to provide all the necessary people and tools for anyone to be successful.

Cons

Unless you are one of the big hitters you do not get a lot of attention and often get trumped when needing someone to help you. This is the big downside.

Terrible management

Pros

ESOP plan. Other than that, absolutely none.

Cons

Terrible atmosphere to work in. Communication was very informal. No formal training system. VERY outdated filing system, they are still filing 100% manually. Very dated operating system with absolutely no plans to upgrade in the future. Extremely ancient payroll system; employees still write down their hours and hand them in personally to ONE payroll person (who also left the company). The company has been around for years and still fails to provide an innovative or appealing workplace.

Run if they offer you a job

Pros

Some of the people there are very nice, but they are ill-used by management.

Cons

Absolutely the worst management I've seen in my career. So much back-stabbing, talking behind each other's back while kissing up in person. Managers who have no idea what your job is, but will still tell you that you are doing it wrong. Sales is allowed to bully purchasing and customer service with impunity. Toxic levels of office politics on the best day. Awful communication flows.
