Pros

Solid Benefits and a flexible PTO.

Cons

1. Upper Management makes rash decisions. Personal emotions are brought into business decisions and cause a power struggle. 2. Little room to grow your career. Almost all upper level sales positions are filled externally, overlooking solid performers currently at the company. 3. Very High Turnover on the sales team(People leaving and people getting fired.) 4. Inconsistent commission plans. They change all the time and are almost never detailed out in writing. 5. Be ready to fight for your money. Commissions are not tracked well and you will need to keep your own records and fight to get commissions that were not reported. 6. It used to be a laid back work place, they advertise culture constantly, but have watched that culture slip away. Company events have dwindled, happy hours are used as bargaining chips, and the beer is almost never stocked at the office anymore.

Pros

Some co-workers are great to work with; especially ones in other departments. Other departments really seem to enjoy their jobs. Other peer developers are also nice and helpful.

Cons

There has been a lot of turnover at Veriship/Sifted in the last 2+ years. The ones who left were the ones who created the culture that used to exist here (open, collaborative, supportive, eager to spread knowledge). When they left they took the ideas and leadership they had with them. The ones who were promoted to their positions have done a poor job of filling in their shoes. Developers promoted to lead positions and other higher positions are not technically skilled enough to make good decisions and don't have the leadership skills to lead others. Some leads are abusive to their junior devs (bullying, cursing at them, etc.), creating an awkward working environment. Leadership that has recently come in with the Veriship/Sifted merger also struggle to be effective leaders. They do not encourage collaboration and haven't helped fill the leadership vacuum that exists. Under them, work is not well planned and developers are compelled into working overtime in order to meet artificial deadlines. Sifted is not a "leave work at work" workplace.

Pros

I really like the training that was given to employees. They is great and structured on-boarding, and everyone is awesome to work with.

Cons

The upper management is sketchy. They have their favorites, and decide to lay people off whenever they feel it fits them. Even though I understand some circumstances, this company seems as though it may be going downhill very very fast.
