Pros

Quick hiring process - ( 3-5 days) to start after interview. Friendly teammates. Snack cart with cheap snacks. Very good Training Manual on collections, great location with parking.

Cons

Pay is low and paid on 1st and 15th. Training is fast. Must self study. Trainer waste lot of time sharing useless person details, Senior Management only friendly to you during interview. Doesn't even speak to you beyond that.

Appreciate your review. We feel that we're in-line with other local companies when it comes to our pay rates. Our average hourly rate as a company is $14.37 per hour. We do pay higher than normal hourly rates for those people that have proven previous experience specific to default recovery work. Our bonus plan is uncapped for the majority of our staff so we did have collectors surpass $70k last year and the year before. As for our trainer, she's a wonderful person who truly cares and is passionate about her job. The majority of the results from our post training surveys gives her high marks for her knowledge, approach-ability and commitment to our training initiative.

We're sorry you feel that your 3-4 year stay at SIMM was not enjoyable. Call center work is not for everyone. Our employees are what makes SIMM such a success and we appreciate all of their handwork and determination.

Pros

The people were nice enough, and the pay was okay but insurance was SO expensive and not very good.

Cons

Training was an absolute joke, she spent more time telling totally unrelated stories than actually training. Cold calling people and arguing with them all day will make you fell gross. The building itself is painted a depressing shade of gray on every single wall and the blinds on the windows are almost always closed which adds to the general depressing, lifeless feeling on the inside of the building. The computers are old and barely work properly.

Unfortunately we do not control the cost of insurance and we do pay a portion. Our training curriculum and specifically our trainer are top notch! The building is in good shape and provides a safe and comfortable work enviornment. I disagree that you feel that computers are old and non functional. Without computers we couldn't work so our overall IT budget is fairly high.
