Pros

The hourly pay is good and the hotel/resort RR benefit is wonderful. Also there are some genuinely good and smart people working here but they will be kept in the closet.

Cons

You will not be gauged on your merit or abilities here. It is the 'good old boy' mentality at it's worst. If you know somebody or are willing to suck your way to the top then this place is for you. But learning and working hard will get you no thanks or promotions. There is a lot of discrimination going on here and good luck taking it up the ladder because HR and management will not rock the boat and fix a bad situation. They choose to look the other way

Pros

Good Pay, Friendly People, Some of the benefits are good, easy work,

Cons

Worst Leadership that I have ever seen in a company. No one is in charge, no vision of where they want to go, no accountability for what you do, deeply entrenched dysfunctional culture of silos, in fighting, and protecting of the status quo. Ask any conultant what they think of this place and they will shock you with stories of bad decisions and terrible leadership.

Pros

The benefits are inline with the industry. Some of the employees are trying to make a difference and. Involved in the community.

Cons

Sinclair Oil has a complete lack of systems that is fueled by inflated egos, hostile work environment, office politics and administrative incompetence. The environment is toxic and dysfunctional. This 70+ year old company operates like a start-up “mom-n-pop shop” rampant with nepotism and cronyism. The HR department is openly blind to the blatant disregard for all company policies, particularly the "Conflict of Interest" policy. Reading the other reviews on this website solidifies the fact that Sinclair is still operating as if they are in the 1950's.
