Pros

Coworkers are fun to work with, if you are in the same department

Cons

Management is extremely inconsistent with their directions and goals Hired as fully remote position before being forced to work in office with a couple days notice. CEO/Owner said Covid isn’t a big deal anymore Constant Covid outbreaks, which affects multiple departments. Issues with payroll, including problems getting last check Hours cut from full time to 32 hours a week with days notice. Other departments are basically impossible to communicate with. Taking sometimes days to respond to simple requests Very little in the way of advancement. Experience here doesn’t translate well to other jobs. No networking to speak of. Pay is below market rate for similar jobs. Departments are extremely cliquey. Some departments really look down on people in other departments. Especially if you need to ask them for something and have a tight deadline in when you need the answer

Pros

You get to work with a majority of kids with oversized egos that think what they know about streaming is how you do marketing. 🤣

Cons

The money sucks: Salaries are far below industry standards, with no sign of improvement. The work sucks: Tedious, uninspiring tasks that feel more like busywork than meaningful contributions. The leadership sucks: Incompetent and out of touch, more focused on their egos than on actual leadership. The company is shady: Skytech Gaming is more interested in taking shortcuts to success than following best practices, leading to constant ethical and quality compromises. HR issues: The head of HR is real-life friends with the CTO and CEO, leading to blatant favoritism and lack of accountability. Nepotism: The CTO and CEO have a cozy, nepotistic relationship that stifles innovation and rewards mediocrity. Career stagnation: Don't expect to get ahead unless you enjoy pandering to the whims of incompetent leadership.
