Pros

- 4 Day Week - Friendly coworkers - A *few* honest and friendly managerial level employees...if you know where to look.

Cons

- An owner who advertises a utopian culture, when reality is everyone is miserable, underappreciated, and just begging for the end to come - No raises, no promotions, no hope - Management wastes their time going on witch hunts - Runs you into the ground to make employment untenable - Collects hundreds of ideas, suggestions, and complaints. Then lights them on fire or throws them in a ditch for all I know....

Pros

Four day work weeks Christmas shutdown

Cons

You cannot say "Idea" or "Thought" you must have a "wonder". Owner wrote a book and force feeds it down your throat. You have to sit around in a group and listen to the book. You then have to comment on it. No paid training at all. You're going to be lucky if they forklift train you, other than that you won't get trained. Unskilled labour using dangerous tools.

At SnapCab, our culture is the heart of everything we do. While we're a production facility, we're also a community where people come together every day, and it's crucial to us that this environment is positive and uplifting for everyone involved. Our core values—Be Kind, Be Authentic, and Be Useful—guide us in creating this culture. The owner of the company did write a book, primarily about culture, and during work hours staff were asked to be part of discussion groups in the book’s development phase. Staff were free to comment and to use whatever words they wanted. Regarding training, we take it seriously and offer a comprehensive approach, including hands-on job shadowing, lecture/video sessions, and pairing new employees with experienced staff members for guidance. We also provide written materials such as standard operating procedures for those who prefer to learn through reading. If employees feel they do not understand something they are able to go to their managers to ensure proper training is received. SnapCab believes in developing staff and therefore, people without previous leadership experience can be promoted into leadership. They will make mistakes, but like any posistion at SnapCab you are not punished for mistakes, but instead you are encouraged to learn from them and grow. Everyone operates with a great amount of responsibility and freedom. There are some who, when they struggle to align with out values and have consistently demonstrated resistance to the direction the company is going will be checked on more often which will feel like micro-managing. Even here, every step is taken to help the employee grow and thrive at SnapCab. For more on our culture check out Ep #1 on our “A Human Business” YouTube channel. Pros

Some of your coworkers are nice. Shifts can be 4 days a week in the shop.

Cons

The company paints a pretty picture of how great culture is etc. but unfortunately it is to cover up the tons of unprofessional and absolutely crazy things that actually go on within the company. The owner has the biggest ego and management underneath him just feed into it and are afraid of speaking their opinion because they will more than likely get fired. They will try to underpay you, extremely low PTO it’s pathetic. The company is very cult-like.. if your on their good side they’ll give you bs work to keep you but only very few are given the opportunity.
