Pros
I started working at Spectrum IT as a recruitment consultant back in 2008 when the company started. After returning from maternity in June, I entered a new role as Social Marketing Manager, tasked with building the company's brand awareness on social media. I thoroughly enjoy working here. This roles offers me the flexibility to work from home when I need to and I also have a company laptop. The company has a great ethos and there isn't the pressure that you normally get from working in a sales environment.
There are various incentives for Consultants, Account Managers, Team Leaders and Newcomers who have recently joined. These are not always the people who have contributed the most financially but also those people who we believe have contributed to the success of the business for that period.
Every month three people finish early on a Friday and head out with a case of beer or bottle of Prosecco. Every quarter we hold a “Lunch of Legends” day out. Previous winners have had lunch at the OXO Tower; dined at the Chef’s table at Limewood; enjoyed Full Hospitality and an inclusive bar at Glorious Goodwood. High Performers jet set to a mystery location for the Annual Winners trip. Previous destinations include Dubai, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Cancun, with winners going to Brussels next year. An Annual Sports Day takes place every summer to celebrate our birthday, plus we have many spontaneous team nights out.
The office is based in Chilworth, on Southampton Science Park, with lots of parking and facilities available (onsite café, showers, gym, lockers etc.)
The environment we work in is very relaxed, were staff get to dress casually for the office, unless they are out meeting clients. We have a breakout area in the kitchen, complete with a grass floor, cork wall, picnic bench, beers fridge and pool table.
As well as a competitive annual salary, uncapped bonus (for those working in sales) and benefits (cycle to work scheme, childcare vouchers).
It is an excellent place to work and they are always looking for ways to improve.
Cons
Like any role in recruitment, you need to work hard in order to get results.
