Unfortunately, it occasionally seems that higher authority are not living the core values of the "Splendid Purpose & Way" but enforcing the hotel managers to ensure its being "lived" in the properties, then using it to their advantage when wanting to achieve a desired objective.
There is also a habit/mindset where, whatever needs to be done within the properties is done as the cheapest possible option, instead of the best possible option. This may be cost efficient at the time, but in the long run proves not to be cost effective.
Sometimes the ideas thought of to engage the team more (whilst good ideas) aren't always fully thought through, to make them suitable for every property within the portfolio. This becomes apparent to some team members who then become disengaged/demoralised, which defeats the very purpose of the ideas.
