Co-workers become close knit like a family--offer supportive words to each other. Easy to become aware of other companies in the area that may be hiring your skill set. You can learn a lot about different industrial processes and tests if you ask questions.
Cons
Co-workers become close knit like a family--gossip and inappropriate workplace comments and conversations are a constant. Good work is not rewarded, and poor work is not reprimanded. Often you will be doing extra work to pick up the slack of coworkers. The environment is not inclusive to racial, sexual, or gender diversity--I would not advise anyone of color or LGBT+ status to consider working here.
