You're working around a dangerous, hazardous material with enough power to destroy a large area around the plant. This isn't so bad as there are many safety rules in place to keep you and the facility safe. The problem is that even with this, the risks are still quite high, and you will never be properly compensated for this risk. You can easily find a much higher paying job for a forklift operator without the risks of this job.
While you can move-up within the company, your pay won't raise much. You will almost always be where you started, but with more responsibilities.
Management is pretty lazy. They believe that they got where they are so they deserve to sit back and watch you work. This wouldn't be so bad if we weren't always so short-staffed and if we weren't so under payed.
