Pros

Top performers are rewarded quickly, incredible in-person office with free breakfast and lunch, game changing product that school leaders love. Special opportunity to impact the world and work with super talented, empathetic people

Cons

If you do not work hard/willing to work a lot of hours, not a good fit.

Pros

Pay - they pay well above market rate to poach people as its the only way they could ever get talent considering they are likely to go under in the near future and leadership lies immensely. CRO while I was there was entirely unresponsive on slack and quit after lying to leadership (a clear response to the lies he was being fed by leadership about the stability of the company)

Cons

Started to list the cons in the pros because there just are so many 1/40 sales reps who are not actively an angel investor + childhood friends with the CEO have made it. Talented reps, hard-working reps, and otherwise all gone because there is one rep who gets all of the leads and gaslights management into firing everyone else who joins. Salespeople, please trust, you do NOT want to work here in any capacity ever. Company will not exist in 2026 and likely not by the 2nd half of 2025

Lacking Empathy for Employees and Students alike

Pros

-Fun team members, parties, and events -Great office and location -The product is exciting, and the mission has the opportunity to be something special -Lots of responsibility and growth opportunities -Decent compensation if they like you

Cons

-Poor culture driven by fear of job security. -Leadership is completely uninvolved with anything aside from fund raising and trying to sell by ANY means possible, often encouraging shortcuts that will put students at a disadvantage. -Leadership has no idea how the product works, they are as far from the weeds as possible, and could not answer rudimentary questions about their own product. This leads to them getting rid of essential members of the team while keeping dead weight. -The company is run by family and friends even though the hypocritical goals state otherwise (These are the people who remain after layoffs while 90% of the highest performing and mission driven team members have been fired or quit largely due to this unprofessional dynamic). -Overall, a lack of empathy for employees and students driven by greed, paired with poor decision making by a few people at the top of the company lead to the crumbling of what once was an amazing team and product. Yes, it was a tough market and runways need to be extended. But, the decision making from the top has been greedy and apathetic towards employees, students, and the long term health of the company. The company size being down well over 60% says everything you need to know.
