Pros

Wonderful coworkers, fun clients, good money.

Cons

Management cares more about money than safety and well being of staff. Failure to follow Covid-19 safety precautions. Reprimanding staff members when they voice concerns about state mandates not being followed. Full staff meetings are deemed "unproductive" instead, they will call you personally and bully you into silence. Talk down to employees in demeaning tone trying to demand respect not earn it. Removal of breaks is frequent, no time to clean, catch up on late appointments, or to take a break. Non-ergonomic work environment, very taxing on your body as you can take anywhere from 8-15 clients a shift. Often tasked with working without proper supplies. Working in downtown with no security in place, very dangerous as we have had many men come in and make disgusting gestures to us. Told we cannot afford security but supplied with new uniforms, water bottles, uncomfortable face masks and Christmas decor. Corporate is very performative. Does not keep employees informed, avoids tough questions. Unprofessional to say the least. Nepotism runs rampant in the salon, and it is very blatant. When nepotism is brought up, it is harshly denied and swept under the rug. Very clear that employees are pawns in their money making scheme. Insane non-compete. Asked to give constructive criticism, then bullied into silence when criticism are said.

Pros

-Most of the girls commiserate with you and the horrible work environment you all share. -Opportunity to make connections -Good turnover rate for services -Decent tips

Cons

The list could go on for pages so I'll break it down into concise points: -Emphasis on profit over employee health -Extreme micromanagement (to the point of constant, unauthorized audio/video recording) -Minimal pay for huge management expectations/work conditions -Absolutely no time off (missing funerals, etc) -Ever changing hours of operation with little to no notice -Constant relocation no matter the distance, commute time, or your opinion. -Clients are given every liberty, even those that put the employees at risk (PHYSICALLY) -Commission is an added bonus, but you need to be VIGILANT, because it will often not appear on pay stubs. -Work environment is controlled down to the songs we can play and outfits we can wear (the one size fit all leggings are practically see through) -No traditional lunch break, sometimes no breaks at all.

Pros

Coworkers are lovely Tips are usually ok, but not the best

Cons

READ ALL!!!!!! Where to start. This is an emotionally draining job. The upper management is terrible, and verbally abusive to employees. They do not care about their employees and only care about clients, even to the expensive of others. You can expect to stay an hour after closing to scrub the whole store down because they are too cheap to get cleaners. The training is terribly structured, and they just rush girls out to make more money for themselves. The CEO took 3 vacations in a 5 month period, while employees are expected to give an 8 week notice for time off and even then they can be denied. Everyone tells you to quit when you get hired, and the non compete is incredibly restrictive. They also break many laws in the company, including giving fraudulent services (which i’m sure they will teach you to lie about when and if you decide to work here). ALSO, DO NOT TRUST POSITIVE REVIEWS. Upper management practically BRIBES employees to leave reviews on here because everyone is miserable at their job, and they will have you and friends leave fake yelp reviews. Many of the girls here also started taking anti depressants/anti anxiety meds because of this job. There is a reason why the turnover rate is so high
