Pros

- Central London location - Some benefits like provided lunches - Nice coworkers - Will develop strong sense of independence and self-sufficiency - The client work and writing R&D technical narratives are very interesting

Cons

- late hours - high staff turnover due to resignation or upper management firing staff without warning and without due cause - unpredictable work environment where policies will change without consultation, including salary - no training yet you're expected to know everything - upper management micro-manages every minute, including using security camera surveillance and time tracking tools - KPIs will change unexpectedly without consultation - no opportunity for career growth - your ideas are not taken into consideration - work culture lacking respect, communication, and transparency

Pros

Management are very hands on and exposed me to not only working in the business to how to run a business . Helped me build confidence, as I didnt know it was that hard, and no-one really knows what they are doing, they just go with their gut and the things they learnt up to that moment. I actually think I could run a business now....HA! My manager was easy going and was patient when I made mistakes, but they do expect you to try your hardest. If you sit on your phone all day though you will get fired... saw that first hand!

Cons

The company will want you to perform, and sometimes it causes some to act a little catty and that sometimes makes it painful to be around. Management could do more to stop this kind of behavior. Pay could have been a little better but the bonuses and free lunches were good. Office is next to Big Ben in Central London and is VERY VERY expensive if you want to live near the office.

Pros

I guess the free lunches is a pro. They let me take time off to travel whenever I wanted, and I did take a fair bit of leave. I had a free range of a number of projects which was give autonomy to deliver the jobs in my own way. A lot of our clients had really cool state of the art products and it was really fun to learn about them and do site visits of their company. Management is really involved, and you deal directly with senior people, I did learn a lot of things about running a business that I wasn't exposed to with previous companies that I had worked for, and I was helpful to me when I when I started my business.

Cons

Company Security was over the top and burnt time during deadline season. Two step authentication to access email or servers always had issues, sometimes took 10 minutes just to get access to my work email. IT manager was always busy with something else and a lot of times I had to wait for him to be available to fix it. Training was provided when asked, but was not provided on a regular basis which was frustrating, but management was helpful and friendly in providing training when I asked. Salary could have been a little higher.
