Pros

-Health insurance paid 100% for employee only, but this soon could be changing. -Monthly Birthday Cake -Ocassional Holiday Parties, Picnics and BBQ -Donuts on Fridays -New Office, looks and smells clean for now, but shoddy workmanship and corners cut on construction.

Cons

-No place to park at new building, will get worse when new company moves in next door. -No HR onsite, HR only shows up once and a while from Texas location and when HR is at location they do not do much of anything, no training, no meetings for employees. -Poor working conditions, people jammed into rooms like sardines with no cubes or partitions to block out sound and distracting conversations. Only a few of the favorites get offices. -Move to new building with the same clunky mismatched/broken down furniture and printers. -Machine shop equipment in disrepair, needs repaired but CEO does not want to spend money on it nor will CEO approve needed equipment to do the job. -Nepotism and Cronyism is the standard, get in tight with the CEO and the other owners and you will get bumped up the ladder and your job will be protected. -Very unprofessional work environment and dress code, company wide - shorts, t-shirts, sneakers and baseball caps and sloppy casual is common. Professionally dressed customers come in for visits and see this, yet management does not care to change the rules. -No code of ethics or housekeeping, place is a mess with lot's of clutter. -Factory assemblers lack training and are often misinformed or follow procedures, do things their way and are not told any different. -Radio blasting music on shop floor, people yelling obscenities is the standard. -Recent college grads promoted into management positions or other sales positions with no prior practical experience, most also seem to feel entitled and have very cocky attitudes but do not have a clue or know how to improve the faulty system that exists. -Company flies select people all over the place, trade shows and trips spending thousands on expenses, dining and hotels. iPhones and sales retreats for a select few, yet does not invest internally or in it's people with training. -CEO is very cheap when it comes to company related expenses outside of the above, yet is always on vacation, buying a lake home and investment properties, airplanes and new cars. Openly talks about it in front of employees then says there is no money for raises and salaries are being frozen and then people are laid off. -Company is extremely poorly managed, there is a serious lack of order in the place. Chaos best explains orders that are lost, always late and missing features required by the customer. -Some of the long term employees have a chip on their shoulder and have unfriendly attitudes and are very argumentative, have tunnel vision and think the current way of doing things is the only way. -Owners are engineers not businessmen, they are always right you are wrong. -Company does not give reviews or raises, handed out bonus checks to some employees that were made out to zero dollars and said it was a mistake. Bonus for 2012 was very low yet company is profitable. -Sends company wide e-mails and announces raises, then turns around and say's no raises will be given and salaries are frozen. -Company hires new people based on sales then after work is gone, fires people who have families and bills to pay. Then soon turns around and repeats the process. -Does not compensate a competitive wage but pay's "family and friends" well. -No training or systems in place, some employees sitting around with nothing to do, thousands of dollars a day are wasted yet the CEO/Owner complains about printing paper and people standing around trying to get direction.

Pros

Sorry do not have much in the Pros category but will say this Management is good during the interview process of making you believe there is a place for you within the organization but soon you find out it is all smoke and mirrors once your hired. Much like a shady car dealer who leads you to believe your getting a good deal when your not. Also does not matter how hard you work or how much initiative or new ideas you bring to the table, they do not care.

Cons

I read a few suspicious positive reviews that are popping up here, obviously management or their cronies at work; most if not all of the negative comments carry plenty of weight from my time with the company so I will not repeat but will say this; There is lack of professionalism within the company, your treated like a mushroom and employees that have been with the company a long time or a number of years are not very open in briefing you on procedures, not that any exist. Found many of the staff to be disrespectful, lacking a open mind, and not caring about the level of experience you bring and as someone said fang shei is really not happening at the cynical world of Syneo. Too much micromanaging, I found the old ceo DW to be self-absorbed and set in his ways and lacking leadership skills, not sure on the new ceo does not look like he has the right experience to right the ship and none of the old management from texas or florida has changed surely he will run into plenty of brick walls with the old blood. Main Street Capital must have ordered a replacement to turn the company around. Seems the company has plenty of capital to spend on building a new building, hiring new 6 fig salary staff but burnt a lot of people over the years since the old pre Tyco ASG days, old stale guard still seems to be intact thanks in part to the crony system in place. Originally thought the work would be a brain teaser; but it was quite boring and mundane and managements attitude towards thinking out of the box was not happening, it was their way or the highway. Had a great idea, forget about it as it would be shot down faster than a new york minute.

Pros

Company Parties Thanksgiving Pot Luck a Annual Favorite! Cool product but dated technology and designs. Generally no overtime Nice location near the beach! It's a job

Cons

Sadly the Pros do not outweigh the Cons Disorganized, Management runs the show with poor delegation of work, projects and employee utilization. Hiring, Firing and/or Quitting is high, good people let go or they just leave on their own out of frustration. Company rebranding = Epic Fail Website, Facebook and Twitter pages have not been updated in months. Management would not know a golden opportunity if it hit them in the side of the face and keeps on poor performing employees based on seniority. Dead wood floats to the top. Former CEO interested in one thing, his bank account and toys hopefully this will change with new CEO. Texas merger was a mistake and a big ball and chain on cash flow. Some employees are stuck in their ways and not very open to new hires, do things wrong and think it's the right most efficient way. Company makes machines for medical devices yet does not promote a healthy environment, a lot of employees smoke and take smoke breaks. Hard to trust Management and what they say.
