Little to no room for growth after two or max three years. VERY political and territorial middle management sees intelligence, initiative, and ambition as threatening in their direct reports, especially if you are a minority or woman. Small headcount makes the environment too personal at times. I was stigmatized for not accepting Facebook requests from coworkers and supervisors. Lots of coworkers dating each other with seemingly no disapproval from management, including married employees. No role documentation, no job function onboarding makes it way harder to get up to speed than it should be. Very white, very male demographic in the Jax., FL office, especially in new hires and promotions. Public utilities as clientele can be very demoralizing. Was forbidden from even discussing non-role projects with other managers, even on my own time. Lots of uncomfortable political talk on tradefloor. High turnover in middle management amplified problems with the lack on formal role documentation.
