Pros

- Fun company culture (lots of drinking, team outings, chilled-out vibe in terms of dress) - "Start up" vibe, but lots of big name clients - Very loose sick day/work from home policy - Company-issued iPhone & Macbook, option to have them pay for your cell service if you make your work and phone number the same - Generally good people to work with, familial vibe - Direct contact with execs, partners, etc - 401k eligible after 6 months - Annual company retreats (aka drinking olympics)

Cons

- Little direction for entry level workers - Execs are still figuring out what being an executive means - Training and procedures are almost non-existent - CEO has the same personality as that guy you knew in college who pissed people off all the time by saying and doing inappropriate stuff, but somehow was charming and smarmy enough to be able to keep hanging out - No insurance (at the time I was there, this might have changed) - Has 4 offices in 2 different time zones despite employing less than 30 people, because the partners can't get along and need to be several hours apart from one another to avoid blowing the company up. - Open office spaces make it too easy to hear people talking on the phone about coworkers (in review calls etc)

Pros

Intellectual challenging projects, collaborative workflow. Working with really smart people. Fun social culture. Recognizable clients who trust you to do good work to answer their questions.

Cons

Management that is set in their ways. Occasionally hostile to innovative analysis. Upper Management team, lead by the CEO waxes poetic about their dedication to transparency, consistent expectations, and welcoming approach to feedback. None of this is remotely reflected in their actions and decision making. This is mostly on the CEO in Saratoga. The Raleigh team lacks this toxicity, but is subordinate. The CEO is, as is described in other posts - usually a very fun person to interact with. Opinionated, personable, and generally kind of goofy. Clearly wants to be perceived as cool. What comes out in the workplace when the rubber meets the road is a personality that operates from a fixed mindset, that perceives feedback as threat, and is given to flying off the handle and resorting to hurling insults when the pressure is on. Often steps in and micromanaged individual projects - as the CEO! Clearly cares about the company, but let's himself stretch too thin trying to get strategy right while micromanaging employees. There is a reason that turnover at THREE is as high as it is, and of all the people that left during my tenure, te CEO's comportement was cited as a reason by every one. The Talent Development Lead's unofficial job was often simply to reign in the CEO's behavior. Finally, there is no real opportunity for upward movement. There's no set career path. Benefits are nothing to write home about.

Pros

Flexible work schedule, great co-workers, very interesting work.

Cons

think of the company as the United States but run by trump. Any negative feedback, feelings, or comments and you are on thin ice. Even if you are told you can leave when your work is done, you will be looked down upon if you leave (even on half day fridays). The health insurance offered is without contribution so it is very expensive. The Saratoga office is very much filled with an us vs. them attitude ( them being the RDU office). You truly never know who to trust. No one tells the truth and everyone is usually just looking out for themselves - because how can you not when the CEO threatens to fire people in meetings.
