Pros

Mostly friendly coworkers, conveniently located, work is steady but occasional challenges prevent boredom

Cons

No chance of advancement or salary increase. Nepotism. President openly talks about her political beliefs which are polarizing. You are either in the club of people who love guns and hate government or you're not a member. The worst part is that when you're hired you have to do a "workshop" based on a system some consultant came up with that includes a personality test (poor-man's Myers-Briggs) and introduction to their cult-like vocabulary. And if you want to fit in, you better treat what they call their "culture" like the gospel.

TLR - Total Logistics Resource Response
10y
The experience of this past employee is not atypical and much has been improved since their employment, which ended in 2014, including pay, leadership and employee engagement practices. TLR has never considered itself to be perfect and above fault and is not afraid to look at itself in the mirror and make continual improvements to the employee experience. We encourage employees to bring their whole self to the work environment and engage in cultural celebrations throughout the year in honor of our differences. TLR prides itself in being a diverse and inclusive work environment that allows employees to freely express their religious, political and social beliefs and engage in open dialogue about them.

Pros

You can gain a good amount of knowledge in the logistics industry as an entry level. The company has switched to remote work environments and the perks of working from home (no commute, dressing for work, etc.) are good. The accounting team is very helpful for any questions or billing concerns.

Cons

Senior Leadership can be very overbearing on operations personnel, to the point of unhealthy work environments. Obtaining higher roles in the company appears possible but is hardly ever achieved successfully. If you excel in your current role, the company will do everything necessary to keep you there and prolong advancement.

Pros

The company could have a great future with government contracting with many opportunities for advancement and growth.

Cons

The senior leadership/owners have got to let go of the nepotism activities. Just because someone is related to you does not mean they are competent, professional and the best fit for the position. Very racist, judgmental leadership. Too many unskilled, uneducated exec-relatives sticking their fingers in the products of skilled educated non-relative. Sandbox mentality, hostile environment, and it starts at the top.
