Pros

The project teams are a challenging but fun place to work. Great teams performing to very high standards, the focus is always on getting the job done and done well!

Cons

Central management (and HR) have too much control and do no productive work, they are all about politics. More control should be devolved to the project teams which are in effect small separate companies, but without any say over their workforce.

Pros

Good portfolio of technologies and clients. World wide reach. Expert in offshore and subsea. A lot of smart people with great knowledge and experience. Some people with great courage to propose new challenges.

Cons

The CEO and the board with limited imagination or vision about the future. They decided in 2014 for the energy market to focus only in the oil and gas sector and in particularly in offshore and subsea and selling the renewables' business. Too many offices competing instead of collaborating. The middle to upper level management seems to be unable to steer in a coherent direction. Too much interference from support departments in the business and especially in the projects. The biggest part of the plan to cope with the oil price slump was to reduce the workforce. There are redundant reports for everything. The bureaucracy is too large.
