      Working mothers steer clear

      Pros

      None but Glassdoor requires at least 5 words. Honestly, no pros.

      Cons

      Your manager will not care about your pick up and drop off schedule nor all the unforeseen days off for doctors appointments, sick days, etc. If you are breastfeeding, I'm so sorry. Your mother's room is a vertical casket of a closet that has blinds on the door (that you can see through if you really wanted to). Incredibly claustrophobic and uncomfortable with no way to reserve the room. There are plenty of companies that understand what working moms have to go through and accommodate them with empathy and respect. This is not one of those companies.

      We are surprised at this feedback! We have several options for nursing mothers in the office. We will be sure to continue to discuss those options with all returning new mothers. With respect to flexibility, we try our best to support flexible schedules. Upwards of 25% of our employees work remotely. Plus, employees across the company - not just mothers - routinely take time to tend to sick children, attend doctor's appointments, and otherwise manage their non-work lives. Our CEO is a working mother and she has made it very clear to all managers that empathy and support are essential company values. This review is not reflective of our inclusive culture. If you're a parent interested in working at MIT TR and have concerns about these issues, please don't hesitate to raise them with the hiring manager. Additionally, feel free to ask to speak with current employees to get an accurate picture.

      An unpleasant working environment.

      Pros

      Growing, changing, young-ish, fast paced company. Exciting to be a part of growth. Content is fascinating. MIT provides excellent benefits.

      Cons

      Management takes a bullying approach to achieve their goals. Hostile at times. Little regard for anything resembling work life balance.
