Work given to us from Mainland are sometimes dirty tasks and unwanted jobs, appreciations are not there from Chinese point of view as they always view us as not working hard enough.
Work are too easy meaning you cant use tools like ansible and stuff, you cant login to servers, alot of restrictions that makes your skills dull as time goes.
There is no hiring diversity, you wont find any non chinese in the tech teams.
Team Leads sometimes does not see the value of your contributions and even started firing the lowest evaluation personnel via PIP lower the morale.
The team dynamics inside may or may not be great depend on teams, I have even faced colleague being "way too nice" to encourage me off to another company just before appraisal evaluation to get rid of competitors but when asked him to left his billing role to take this opportunity he would find excuses.
Team lead chooses people to trust based on who tries hard to impress them, not sure how this logic also comes about, kind of encourage people to spend time not doing more work but on pleasing.
