Pros

Nothing, this company is based on lies. False hopes and accusations. At least I got the experience of leaning on how to not be a toxic leader.

Cons

It's all door to door sales, they promise you management but you work in freezing temps at 8 am to 8 pm. I am a female and they stuck me in the most horrible spot in Nashville. I was scared for my life, when I asked for a new location they laughed at me and said you need to maximize your territory. Well I wasn't going to risk my life. They are only commission based and if you don't make it they will make you feel lesser then dirt.

Hello there! I hope that this response finds you well and hopefully now in a career that better suits what you are looking for professionally! Though your review is rather aggressive, I nonetheless appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to have met you for the few days that you worked for our firm. Firstly, as according to Glassdoor, every single company has something positive to offer. If that wasn't the case, you wouldn't have accepted the offer to work here at The Icon Groups. The balanced way to offer constructive criticism to a company through Glassdoor is to at least list something positive about the organization. Perhaps if you could rewrite you would say that you had some pretty awesome team members while working here (at least we think so!) While we respect that sales might not be a great fit professionally for all, we are very clear in our job description and duties as our second interview is a full day shadowing of the position. So to state that our company is founded off lies and false hopes, when you had the opportunity to observe the position before you accepted, seems a bit exaggerated. You also mentioned that our team members work 12 hour days, which again is a stretch, as our schedule does not begin until 11 am. We truly wish that your experience had been different and that you and I could have spoke one on one about your experience. Our client (AT&T), nor myself, would ever allow anyone to feel uncomfortable or unsafe while working at our firm. I would love to hear any constructive feedback you have to offer so that we can continue to improve and grow. Please feel free to call me at the office at 615-428-2685 and ask to speak with Eric! Sincerely, CEO/Eric Hoffman

Pros

Great company! The leadership in the company is fantastic, they have high integrity and work tirelessly for the advancement of the team there. The work environment is amazing too. If you're looking for an opportunity for a rewarding career this is a great place to be!

Cons

The only con I could think of was leaving the company to pursue my MBA. I am very pleased that my position will be there upon my return!

Pros

Apart from the company being in an up and coming city (Nashville), there are none.

Cons

Smoke and mirrors everywhere! Door to door sales. No benefits. No true opportunity to be had. Be sure to ask what the turn over is in this role and you'll find that most people don't work 3months. They prey are recent grads that may not be knowledgeable on turn and burn MLM companies like this. Most of the 4 or 5 star reviews here are fake and the Icon Groups knows it. They say the schedule starts at 11am, but you'll be in the office earlier than that. 8am - 9am and then work to 8pm. 11am is just when you go out to the field.

Dear Reviewer, Hey there! First off, thank you for taking the time to share your interview experience with The Icon Groups, though we're afraid you put it in the wrong section. You are writing as if you were an employee, but sadly we know that not to be true. Regardless, we're happy to offer feedback to some lingering questions it seems you have! 1) We have a 3 step interview process before ever on-boarding a new team member, with a strong emphasis on the second interview. The second interview is a FULL day of job observation of a current team member. An interviewee is able to see daily responsibilities, hours, face to face presentations with the customers our clients generate for us and more. There is not a single soul that begins at The Icon Groups without a 100% clear understanding of their position. Your comment regarding smoke and mirrors alludes us. 2) An MLM company, firstly, would never work for the client that we do, AT&T. Secondly, MLM companies require not only an upfront investment into the product that you're selling, but also promotes the recruitment of your own friends and family. Though there is nothing wrong with that line of work, it couldn't be further from what we do. Our team members are W-2, salaried/commissioned employees and we have a Human Resources department who's sole focus is hiring and monitoring employee satisfaction. We don't need to churn and burn through people to bring our client the results they ask for. Our team ranges in ages, education levels and fields of study, so the remark about preying on college grads is short-sighted. Again something you would know if you had worked for our firm. 3) Lastly, our schedule begins at 11 AM and lasts until 8 PM. If someone chooses to come in earlier to prepare for their day, have a developmental meeting with management or socialize, that is of their own choice but not required! Our office doesn't open until 9 AM so we're unsure how people would begin working at 8 AM. Overall, we hope that we've provided you further clarification and want to apologize that your interview experience with us wasn't satisfactory. Whether the position was a good fit or not professionally, we would have still liked for you to walk away complimentary of the people you interacted with. We wish that you had felt comfortable enough to talk with a Human Resources team member or myself and want to extend our office number should you like to talk with someone further. Take care and best of luck! Sincerely, CEO/Eric Hoffman 615-428-2685
