If You Value Your Mental Health - RUN

Pros

If you work on a contract team with no interaction with the executive team, you might be okay.

Cons

The leadership at TPG - the two owners specifically, are highly toxic and abusive. Let this fact emphasize what I mean: In a year and a half’s time, their CFO, Chief Growth Officer, VP of Operations, Director of Human Resources, Director of Proposals, Director of Business Development, and several senior recruiters all left the company. All as a direct result of how they were treated by the owners. Actual screaming matches and cursing, expectations of working all hours, directly violating employee privacy rights, making fun of individuals with disabilities, the list goes on. For any other leadership role, this behavior could be dealt with properly, but because it is coming from the OWNERS, there is no recourse. They will continue getting away with everything and gaslighting their employees when they express their concerns or push back. I wanted to never look back at this horrible place, but I continue to see them hiring overhead positions (because their turnover is abysmal) and I feel I need to warn people to STAY FAR AWAY.

Pros

Employees themselves are great, the owners are not.

Cons

Terrible owners who treat their employees as disposable. Very high turnover and low employee satisfaction.

Pros

TPG is a small company with large contracts that make a difference in regards to national security. They take care of their employees due to the nature of their roles and the bandwidth of their clients. They reward new hires and seek new ways to innovate the roles under their portfolio. They also keep a close touchpoint between contractors and management. Benefits are very good and not very expensive.

Cons

TPG doesn’t have many company gatherings. It might take some time and proving of yourself to make the salary that you’re aiming for, but they do have money to pay. They won’t play with your money, but depending on the contract, your role might be more subject to client opinion/feedback than I think it should be.
