      Pros

      Private equity money is flowing in....for now. There are some smart people there too.

      Cons

      To describe it as 'smoke and mirrors' would be generous. There are no strategic plans in place to run the business as a business - as opposed to a playground for rich white liberals who disguise themselves as businessmen, journalists, and thoughtful academics. Fraudulent would be another generous descriptor.

      Pros

      Great, smart journalists who have ambition and drive to create real change in the news space. Rest of company is lazy and unproductive.

      Cons

      Smoke and mirrors. Poor spending on minimal funding, non-diverse leadership, horrible tracking / accountability. No tech presence, CTO was MIA for an entire year of trying to build a new vision.
