Don't work here

Pros

Junior staff can be nice, and the clients are great!

Cons

Don't work here. The culture borders on abuse. There is zero work-life balance, except for the head of the company who takes off whenever his kids have an event of some kind. They don't speak to people with respect and there is never "time off" because you will be called at all hours, anytime. The turnover is very high.

Pros

Great non-profit clients ! Management helped me develop writing and organizational skills.I was able to interact with the media frequently and take on more responsibility with clients over time.

Cons

On call 24/7. A lot of pressure overall and unreasonably high expectations. Not a lot of promotion opportunities.

Summer Intern

Pros

The small office environment at The TASC Group allowed for me to communicate directly with the President and learn so much about working for a PR agency. During my time as an intern, I did more than typical intern work. I was able to work red carpet events, make pitches to major news outlets, and prep for and work a major event that led to a story written by The Associated Press. The President and remaining staff were great mentors and cared about my personal life and overall experience in NYC. The diverse clients were all interesting in their own way. I specifically took interest in their nonprofit clients, which were amazing in their brands and work all around.

Cons

Some days as an intern were not as exciting as others. The hours can be long when there were not direct tasks given to you. It was always important for me to speak up and ask when I needed more work, to be shown how to do something or ask to go out and work different events.
