Pros

Sizable team and local to the South Bay Area

Cons

100% commission, door to door sales, working hours are much longer than advertised during the interview (Day can end as late as 10pm), no work/personal life balance, HIGH turnover. There isn't an HR Department, management's cynical communication/manipulation style is detrimental to the performance of individuals within the team. There is no sense of professionalism in this workplace regardless of being required to show up in a suit & tie everyday, the environment is similar to high school summer camp. Team leaders do not lead by example (a handful drink/smoke on the job). You must pave your own professional path. There is no longevity in this business if you choose to stay. This can work well for people in college who need to work on customer service skills and not those with responsibilities aside of work.

We're sorry to hear about your negative perception of our business. At Tidal Management, we prioritize empowering our team members and ensuring their well-being. We offer a supportive culture with various opportunities for professional and personal growth. While our standard work week averages 40-50 hours, we provide flexibility for employees to work additional hours if they choose to pursue their goals further. Additionally, our payment structure may not be "traditional", but this allows our employees to have a direct impact on their paychecks week to week with uncapped earning potential. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is integral to our values, as many of our employees have family commitments outside of work. Furthermore, we would like to clarify that we are not an MLM. MLMs typically operate independently and often involve purchasing into a program with inherent risks. Unlike MLMs, we work directly with established major companies as our clients, which eliminates such risks. Our structure does not involve buying into a program. We prioritize the well-being and professional growth of our team members and strive to provide a supportive work environment. We would welcome the opportunity to address your concerns further. Please email info@tidalmgmt.com to schedule a call and discuss your grievances in detail. We are committed to finding a resolution together.

Pros

Commission is not bad for those with experience.

Cons

Over the phone interview I was told the schedule was mon-fri 11-7. BUT once I quit my salary job and accepted this position, I was informed that we actually don’t “clock out” until about 9 pm.. NOT 7 pm.. AND working Saturdays is required. Door to door and full commission (no base pay). It might be worth your time if they trained you properly but they just don’t. Lots of huge egos in this building that don’t like being surpassed. Not exactly the “team” environment they claim to have.
